Headaches
Headaches affect everybody at some point in their life and can be debilitating and seriously affect one’s quality of life. The headache (cephalalgia) is a condition involving any degree of pain in the head, however pains within the neck or upper back may also be interpreted as a headache. If a headache is a result of a head injury the cause is evident, although other causes are more difficult to detect. The inflammation of the sinuses can also cause headaches. Reactions to certain foods, including chocolate, cheese, and monosodium glutamate (MSG) can lead to tension headaches, while cluster headaches are generally put down to malfunctions in parts of the brain.
